Hey incredible Zazzlepreneurs!
You know, I was sitting here today, watching an episode of Catfish, and I found myself shedding a few tears. The Catfish in this episode was sharing her heart-wrenching story of bullying, which led her down the path of becoming someone she wasn't. It got me thinking - we all have our stories, don't we?
And you might be wondering, "What does this have to do with us, the Zazzlepreneurs?" Well, it's a stark reminder that we never truly know what someone else is going through, what path they've walked, or why they've become the person they are today.
I've noticed that many of our fellow Zazzle members have some pretty remarkable stories. They've chosen to step away from the traditional "real world" of work and embrace the online space, even though it can sometimes be isolating. Why? Because they're protecting themselves and entering a space where they can thrive, despite the challenges because let's face it Zazzlepreneurs, being an entrepreneur is HARD WORK, which makes Zazzlepreneurs all the more incredible, you are incredible!
Some of us are dealing with disabilities, chronic illnesses, mental health challenges, or are single parents holding down the fort. Others are just fed up with the chaos of the outside world. But here's the thing: we all share something remarkable - an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit that sets us apart.
In many ways, we might be seen as "misfits," but I want you to remember this: we are nothing short of "outstanding." Yes, you heard me right – YOU ARE OUTSTANDING! Just by being here on the Zazzle platform, you're giving it your all, working hard to achieve your dreams.
Now, I'm not saying we're all misfits, but it's something I've observed in our Zazzle forums when people open up a bit about themselves. And you know what? We should embrace that uniqueness within ourselves. We possess a resilience, strength, and drive that others may not even comprehend.
Despite the challenges we've faced or continue to face, we're still here! We didn't give up. We're doing what most people only dream of doing!
So, here's to all of us – misfits and non-misfits alike – sharing this incredible journey in a supportive, courageous manner. We're in this together.
That's why we need to support each other, not compete. Let's lift one another up, celebrate our victories, and share our stories, whether they're moments of venting frustration or moments of sheer joy.
So, my fellow Zazzlepreneurs, remember this: we're not just here for business; we're here for each other.
You can share whatever you want here. Vent, celebrate, tell your story – because together, we are an unstoppable force. x
A misfit I am (I have always looked for ways to fit a square peg into a circular hole), and quite proud of it. It amuses me how people describe me when they first encounter me; it's usually the complete antithesis of what I am like. To be fair, I don't usually say much. Helps maintain the mystique. :)
It's funny I was watching a movie that just hit Netflix a few nights ago with a very strange title, Sitting in Bars, With Cake which had me thinking similar thoughts. It is based on the true story of two unlikely 20-something roommates. One a very quiet and organized woman who is studying to go to law school to please her parents and the other an outgoing, noncomformist talent agent who just got a dream promotion.
On the surface, it is a story of the quiet roommate helping the other as she faces an incurable and fatal illness. But I think the real theme is what happens when we shake up our lives. The quiet one doesn't really have a…
