I liked so much the section about the business plan and how planning could rewire our brain and the section “how to prioritize time” to give more time to priority tasks.

Which specific topics or concepts covered via the EXTRAS supplied with this module did you find most valuable or interesting? I found super interesting the guide about Google Trends. I think it is a super tool to develop more ideas!

Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey?

I feel this module 1 is a clear introduction to the MACRO AREAS I should focus to start with the right steps! Putting more infos in this module would have been more overwhelming so it is the right amount of infos to digest for a new seller!

How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible.

Yes! I created the skeleton of my business plan, following the worksheet you provided, which was the most challenging task for me!

I liked the fact that the business plan grows with you so  I am adjusting it the more I get more clarity and focus on the different areas to work on.

I will refer to the Zazzle’s front page more often to seek more inspiration for my designs!

Not yet, just because I am studying my branding strategy, so before opening it, I have to clarify myself if my page will turn around my shop or my personal brand. Still working on that!

Yes! The most important roadblock was to enter into the “planning mode”. Accepting that the invested time on planning was the greatest favor I was doing to myself, it has been a little bit difficult at the beginning. But now, after 6 months in Zazzle, I realized that there is no way to progress on the platform without a clear roadmap!

I rate 5 because you did a great effort in trying to condense all the major infos for starting a zazzle shop!

I would improve the introductory section about DESIGN. I know it will be covered enough in the next modules, blog post or extras, but as beginner just having important tips (as using the front page as guide) is extremely important!

I saw your improved so much the layout of the website, now it is easier to navigate it!

Maybe a Q&A live once every two weeks, it will be great to have fun, interact directly and know each others better

How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche? I feel confident because until now, I have created designs without focusing on any niche (because of my lack of experience). But now, knowing how much important is to plan before drawing anything, I want to refine the work on the niche I selected and work actively to dominate it!

Is there any other feedback, comments, or questions you would like to share regarding Module 1 or the Zazzlepreneur course in general? I just want to thank you because it is invaluable to have an expert coach like you who guides you in this wonderful and yet though experience!

POD is very fast, it follows trends and honestly I would have taken YEARS of mistakes before understanding correctly the dynamics behind a Zazzle shop!

How likely are you to recommend the "Business Plan and Business Mindset" module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs? I strongly recommend it! If you don’t clarify your mind about yourself and your business’ goals, the journey would be more caotic and time consuming!

There are a lot of challenges to face so the more you have a clear mind about the steps to take, the faster you grow!

I recommend Module 1 to everyone because it is an honest roadmap of the Zazzle journey! It is not based on the illusion that you will gain an hell of money in short time! It is a very realistic roadmap of every step you need to take (and each of them is extremely important) to live on your artistic and designing talents!

I'm trying to leave feedback here, but my comment keeps showing as "publishing" for a long time and nothing happens.

1. What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1? That I NEED a business plan. Need to really think of this as a business and what my hopes and dreams are for it. Also, as simple as it is, I simply haven't thought to look on Amazon for market research. No idea why. I also need to focus on creating more. I spend way too much time researching things I'll create rather than actually creating.

Now I need to work on my self confidence toward my Zazzle journey. I've been on Zazzle for 5 or 6 years... just casually up until this year. Somehow I've managed to make $600 in those years, which I think is pretty good for doing nothing since I loaded the designs years ago! But... I've now realized that if I can make that $600 with minimal effort, how much can I make if I truly try?? I think the possibilities are endless with Zazzle. But, I've got some mindset work to do so that I think it's possible for ME, not just other folks.

I work full time, my kids play sports... I don't have a lot of free time. From Module 1, I realized I'm spending way too much time researching, analyzing... and researching some more. I spend too much time doing all that and not enough time actually creating. I keep planning to create... but get stuck in the research mode. Or get stuck looking at clip art I want to buy to include in my listings. And then I don't end up creating anything! I need to work on actually CREATING more.

My niche is something I've been trying to figure out, so I'm hopeful that Module 2 will help me! My ideas are all over the place, and I know I need to really figure out what my niche is.

11. How likely are you to recommend the "Business Plan and Business Mindset" module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs? I don't have anyone in my day-to-day life that is on Zazzle, but if I meet someone or find out that someone I know is on Zazzle, I'll definitely share and recommend.

12. Would you recommend Module 1 to others and if so why? I would. To me, it's a great starting point for someone's Zazzle journey.

1.      What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1?

a.       “Pride” – After having worked on a cover photo or a design on a product for a looong time, I was too afraid/proud to look at it again knowing that I might have to take it down for revision again. I just kept on going with new listings. I am now going through EVERYTHING. Attractive cover photos do matter. I sold two items shortly after making a cover photo change. Another two items became ‘editor picks’.

b.      Keeping my listings active via buddy system interaction so that they don’t go into “optimizing status” but also to double check tags and descriptions as well as market my listings on all social media platforms I am active on.

c.       I have kept an eye on how a number of my listings rank on Zazzle by changing some of my tagging.

d.      It’s good to look around to see what is trending especially on Amazon and in “bricks & mortar” stores. I have made some surprising discoveries in trends.

e.       For brainstorming, “Ideas for Finding a Niche” was and still is helpful.

f.        Mentally, I find it better to be optimistic with a business plan because I find some designers in other social media groups are not always positive or too short sighted. This can be distracting but with a business plan, I just tune them out and try to stay the course I’ve set out for myself.

2.      How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible.

a.       I have setup new Facebook Pages to “niche out”. I am putting together designs that target the niche.

b.      I have spent a lot of time exploring mockups and scene creator assets with the mentality of constructing cover photos that resonate with my target audience.

c.       This module reminded me that I already took some courses in the past to primarily learn some Adobe and Affinity software. There were some design courses I took that I thought at the time showed more than what I would ever need. This module has shown me that I did not go overboard at all. Color choices and combinations matter on cover photos because they are an advertisement. The idea is to draw your target audience to them so I am keeping a close eye on this when I see new sales. Font pairing which I learned also matters and the software itself is loaded with features that I can alter photographs with to make my product placement on them more appealing.

d.      I setup a new shop. I also “cross-added” some listings to collections in my other shops but it looks like I have to do that over because the new collections in Zazzle reallocated my collections to other stores. I have learned that “niche collections” matter especially for marketing on social media.

e.       I am going through all listings in my original shop (as mentioned before) to see if I want to keep it or not. I have also started a spreadsheet with notes on what to evaluate again in 6 months. Even some cover photos seemed fine at the time but going back to them weeks later, has made me think twice about a number of them.

As mentioned previously, “pride” had to be swallowed. It felt like a step back to delete a number of listings and do them over as well as cover photos. I forced myself to delete 5-10 at a time. Once I started to redo them and repost, I got braver going through the others. I’m not done yet but I don’t feel so depressed by it anymore. The product listings are stronger and with the two recent sales I know I am on the right track with the steps I took with the cover photos as well. I now make it a practice to go through them again a week later to see if I still like it. A digital art instructor I had once said that he made this a regular practice: “Do I still like it this many hours/days later?” test. I see a lot of merit in it now.

My level of satisfaction is a 5. I think this course is an eye opener for other PODs as well. It is a business and no business is passive.

I saw that you don’t let someone plow through it 50 million miles an hour and I think that is good. Often when you put a new procedure into practice is when you learn. What you don’t like doing is often what you should be doing. “Don’t rush your artwork!” is another tip I was given by my fontmaking instructor. I can clearly see that in social media groups where people think that quantity is more important than quality, ends up making their shop look cheap.

I feel ready to tackle the next challenge as I am already trying to niche out.

People should take it seriously. There is a lot of good competition out there so you have to be trying your best.

I am hoping that I will have eye opening moments like I did with this module. I am also hoping that it will make my future product listings stronger.

Yes I would recommend it because it was educational and I can already see the benefits now.

It was very nice to write down some of the items in the personal mission statement. Though I had it all in my head, seeing it in writing makes a difference.

Probably the pinterest guide as that is where I would like to focus my marketing on.

I think it did for the setting goals and managing time part, I enjoyed the ‘how to prioritise your time’ article, gives a bit of insight how others (you) would approach having a lot or a little bit of time (as some weeks are different from other weeks). As for motivation, I think that will mostly comes from feedback and sales for me at the moment.

Not really to be honest. There’s a lot of referring to niches and research and I feel that hasn’t been covered enough for me to dive into that (which is actually what I’m most keen on learning), I do feel I’m paying more attention to the information provided in the article about short an long tail keywords, a link I found in one of the comments on the article about unicorn tags .

I have not created a facebook page. I will not be making one right now. I read through the information and it’s (as most things) a long term game. I feel right now my time is better spend on pinterest. I do not want to set myself up for failure or disappointment over a task or plan where I do not feel confident about that I can pull that off at this time.

I felt not all the information needed was provided to do the things the information inspired to do. The initial PDF is clear and walks through things with relative ease, but something like research niches, where that’s exactly the things I’d need help with made me be stuck on that. Now I did see that Module 2 is focussed on just that, so my solution is to wait for module 2 haha.

The PDF was good, just go from one page to the next when ready. But I felt all the clicking and opening new pages for the extra files was a bit tedious and confusing. Probably mostly because many of those referred to another article, which I felt I had to read to understand the previous one. It felt like a lot of back and forth to be able to gather the information, rather than things being neatly in a row explaining things in detail. Many times it left me with many questions and not enough actionable information.

I’m very curious to see how this module explains niche research, how to dive deep. So I’m quite excited about that.

I’ll answer 11 & 12 in one if that’s ok. I think it is great for figuring out goals, personal and business. And I would recommend people to follow those lessons.

What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1? Key take-aways for me include identifying initial goals and niches. Prior to joining the course, I found I’m all over the place, no specific direction and not completing/mastering one area before hopping to the next. My business plan focuses on initial startup only, achievable goals in the short term with plans to revise as I progress. As mentioned in comments, I’ve found no specific focus on a specific niche. Need to identify one (or a very short list) niche to focus on and work through before moving to a next. Generally, need to step back, keep things simple, and revisit/revise as I learn and grow.

Which specific topics or concepts covered via the EXTRAS supplied with this module did you find most valuable or interesting? As mentioned before, finding an appropriate niche is a key take-away. My interests are broad and varied. I need to reduce this list to a small handful that can truly focus on and build out. Need to balance my (sometimes) very specific/personal niche ideas with market appropriate niche ideas.

Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey?Mostly. Setting goals and thinking through the foundations works well. Staying motivated is challenging as I continue to work through designs and putting in hours of work with no apparent results. Most products still have complete lack of views and no sales. Thinking of the continued work creating and marketing can see exhaustive. Need to break out and make some sales, see some results, to build up my confidence.

Please provide specific examples, if possible.Since reading through the first module, I’ve revisited my store and worked to ensure 1- have proper setup (categories, image consistency, [hopefully] solid tagging, etc.). Still need quite a bit of work to fully understand SEO and site-specifics to get better product awareness.

Re Task 1 - were you able to create a Facebook page and would you like to share the link here for members to view and follow you? If so please do! I do have a FB page. But, have not explored posting much as been focusing on Pinterest pins. Need to continue to learn how adding to other social media sites can increase views. Spend quite a bit of time making pins, composing what I feel are good tags/headers/meta data. Have set up analytics. Not seeing any results as of yet, jury is still out.

If so, please describe the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. No major challenges other than some concepts look like take time and patience to produce results. Feel roadblocks include the hours of time spent creating/revising products, realistically understanding SEO and specific SEO concepts for Zazzle vs other sites, if I’m designing for myself over more broadly acceptable.

Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with Module 1 of the Zazzlepreneur program? Rate your satisfaction level on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the least satisfied and 5 being the most satisfied. Generally good information and better yet worksheets to (almost) force to think through concepts/issues. Biggest issue is time - everything takes quite a while and not sure how people set up such great stores and see success without full-time staff.

What suggestions or recommendations do you have for improving the content, delivery, or overall experience of Module 1? Found some links don’t work in ‘Similar Posts’. Liked the idea of a partner, buddy, or (even better) mentor. Unfortunately, the link did not work for me. Would be interesting to drill down further on the niche worksheet - not just ticking, but possibly rating based on personal interest followed by some sort of marketing and selling potential.

How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche?I’m confident will give it my best efforts. Finding an appropriate niche looks like is going to be a huge challenge for me. My thoughts are all over and feel I sway too much as work on project to project.

How likely are you to recommend the "Business Plan and Business Mindset" module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs? Mostly. VERY early on in the process. From looking ahead a bit, think process is valuable. But, need to see some sort of movement before fully judging.

Would you recommend Module 1 to others and if so why? Yes. Like the idea of setting foundations before jumping in and running. I’ve done this a bit and possibly set myself up for unhappiness - months with no action and products with no views. Need to figure out the rating system and how to optimize for the marketplace.

What are the most valuable lesson or strategy you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1?

The worksheets were very helpful in my revision of a business plan I made years ago when starting on Zazzle. This has been revised/improved over the years and the worksheets plus other information in the Module made me update to my simple plan.

Which specific topics or concepts covered via the EXTRAS supplied with this module did you find most valuable or interesting?

I’m doing much more research on niche markets and seeing how my creativity can work with them on Z. 

Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey?

It has encouraged me to review my business plan and update some of my goals. Managing my time and staying motivated hasn’t been much of a problem for me since I realize this creative outlet takes me away from the doldrums of a life. I love challenges so  the challenges of the ever-changing Z platform keep me motivated, however, I appreciate reading your advice and thoughts for other motivators.

How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible.

I have started using research on other search engines besides Google, such as Yahoo, Bing, and YOU.com <- (uses AI). I had never thought to use Amazon in research either so that’s also been helpful.

I left Facebook some time ago and hadn’t planned to return so I didn’t complete that part of the work. I hope that doesn’t keep me from moving on in the course. I only market on Pinterest.

I was able to take my time (on my own terms) so not being rushed was a plus.

Definitely 5. It’s a plus with access to the forum and all your informational and motivational blog posts.

Initially the course seemed disjointed but you’ve made improvements from when we first started so keep on improving what you’ve been doing and making updates and changes along the way.

How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche?

I’ve already taken on more research while doing Module 1 so I’m learning and improving my research so that makes me confident. It's made me do more research before jumping on the first shiny object. ;)

When the course was first opened up, I felt like I was jumping around trying to figure out what to do so I waited and took it slower as forum posts and blog posts were added. Having the blog posts pop up over time has been an added bonus and thought provoking. Being able to do it on my timeline is a BIG plus.

How likely are you to recommend the "Business Plan and Business Mindset" module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs?

I happily recommend new and old Zazzlepreneurs to take the plunge. If you aren't new to Zazzle it's a wonderful refresh.

Would you recommend Module 1 to others and if so why?

Yes, I would recommend Module 1 to others because it leads to a focused start, restart/kickstart or refresh on your Z journey. I've been on this journey al long time and it's always nice to do a refresh.

What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1?

While I've enjoyed all of module 1 and found nuggets of information everywhere, I particularly liked point 4 (capitalizing on your strenghths) and the bonus materials on niche markets. I am still a newbie on Zazzle and I have been creating a lot of content just following my interests (of which there are many), but without necessarily playing to my strengths. Partly it's because I don't quite know what those strengths are. This also ties in nicely with niches - because if I can play my strengths in niche markets, I think I might have something really good in the future. Definitely something to keep in mind. Also, I was very interested in social media marketing, which is a bit overwhelming at the moment. There are only so many hours in the day and yes, it needs to be done but I would love to find out (sooner rather than later haha) what gets me the most bang for the buck so I don't waste my time. Valuable information here and a bit of experimentation to follow.

Which specific topics or concepts covered via the EXTRAS supplied with this module did you find most valuable or interesting?

I've already talked about the niche markets being the most valuable, it is an ongoing topic for me and I still have much to learn in the way of research. But this was a very good starting point. The tagging and Pinterest guides were very useful too. I used to be a marketing manager waaaay way back in the day when the Internet was in diapers and now I'm sort of brushing up on those skills. The concepts haven't changed and they probably never will. However, there are best practices and things that work. Very useful.

Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey? To be honest, starting a Zazzle store (or stores) is such an overwhemling thing that at first one is blinded by so many things to do do do and learn learn learn (design, marketing, research...). Time management kinda goes out the window and I for one find myself a bit burnt out. So yes, very useful stuff, especially in the assessments about where to put one's energy the most. I wholeheartedly agree that it should be mostly creating. But as for the rest, I wasn't quite sure. It's so nice to have confirmation. As for sufficient guidance, yes. I think it's plenty to start. But it's something to be revisited later on :).

How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible. I have been much more targeted on finding areas that play to my strengths AND cover niches which are not so crowded. I have been researching a lot of keywords on Google - not only for marketing purposes but also to uncover the less populated niches. I have been creating less this week and have been more involved in this research because it is clear to me that, while creating a lot and in all directions gives me the value of improving my design skills, a lot of it is wasted in that not that much sells. Whereas a topic well researched and well designed has a much better chance of doing well.

I already have a Facebook page that I created a long time ago and have been neglecting haha. The thing is, I don't exactly know what to put there and, while I did get some great information here, I still don't quite understand how this will translate into sales. From where I am standing I have the impression that it's a lot of effort for... not sure what return. I am stretched thin with a young family to raise and time is in very short supply. I will take something on but I am not sure, honestly, that Facebook is worth it. I would need more information on this... And please forgive me but I am a bit paranoid about revealing the identity of my business... it's no reflection on this community and I have no problem sharing my info in private via email, but I will not be posting publicly.

If so, please describe the challenges you faced and how you overcame them. I've been working in the business world for 20 years. To be honest, my creative brain kind of cringes when I hear "business plan" haha. Not in the traditional way. However, I do know that chaos is not good business either. That's the challenging part. I have to sit myself down and work on finding a consistent direction that I can stick to, especially when the "shiny object syndrome" shows up (as in, every day... haha) and I want to do a million other things. That's the biggest challenge for me, this sticking-to-it-ness. The patience to develop product lines (well researched), topics etc. Work in progress.

I would give it a 5. Not too short, not too long, to the point and poigniant. Written by someone who's been there, done that and has no time for fluff. Thanks.

What suggestions or recommendations do you have for improving the content, delivery, or overall experience of Module 1? The only information that was missing (partially) for me is more detail about Facebook Groups and how much they can actually help a business. I've explained before that I am a Facebook skeptic and I see them as a huge time suck. Lots of people just lookin'... which is fine, but I just don't have that kind of time. Pinterest, for example, is a lot more targeted. They will put pins in front of people based on their research, it's visual, it's targeted and the conversion is very high. Also, it doesn't require me to spend a ton of time every day. So I would clarify that more, but that's just my personal preference. Perhaps for people who are more familiar with Facebook, this is all very obvious.

How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche? Bring them on! My fingers are itching on the keyboard to start researching all those great ideas I have and I am sooooooooooooo eager to find out a method (or two, or three) to validate them!!!!! I am so looking forward to that and I am so ready!! :) (if I say so myself...)

How likely are you to recommend the "Business Plan and Business Mindset" module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs? I will direct all artist friends and aquaintances who want to start with Print-on-Demand to this course. It even transcends Zazzle.

Would you recommend Module 1 to others and if so why? I would because, as I've said before, my natural state is that of a chaotic, shiny-object-loving,marveling-at-the-world creator. Which is nice for the creative part. But, as we all know, creativity is not enough. Good business sense is absolutely needed. No joke and no understatement. So talking about it is the first step. I also like the fact that it is short and to the point. Written from the trenches, so to speak, not some theoretical blah-blah. So yes, 100% I would send people to it. Especially the "creative types" haha.

I have never made a business plan- This was eye opening and will really help me see the big picture of where I need to focus my time and energy. I avoid the social media department, so the chart was very helpful to help me plan where I need to start some marketing promotions. And the goal setting and market research was very helpful as well.

The unicorn tagging info is fascinating and am currently deep diving into all the info- I have my niches down, but my tagging needs improving!

Yes! Creating the business plan helped me with goal setting and where I need to focus my time.

Module 1 Zazzlepreneur Feedback Form

1.     What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1?

The need to get a plan on paper rather than thinking about it in my head!  It helps to be more accountable to have things in black & white and to be able to revisit and modify in the future.  I’ve realised that I need to refine my niche choices.  The time when I enjoyed a phase of regular sales was when I created products for a one-off occasion (coronation), since then my store has ‘died’ with very few sales coming in.  I found the market research info very helpful, especially the process of checking on Amazon and Etsy for items which are popular and selling.

2.     Which specific topics or concepts covered via the EXTRAS supplied with this module did you find most valuable or interesting?   

I found all the material very valuable, interesting, and enlightening. I was very interested in the Exploring Niche Markets material - I hope that this will help me to focus on specific areas on which to concentrate my efforts.   I was also interested in the best practices for tagging and the ‘unicorn’ tags!

3.     Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey? 

Yes, I see that I need to use my time more effectively.  I’m not spending enough time creating products, rather I’m wasting time doing other things which are less important (aimlessly flailing around!).  I need to do a lot of work on researching niches.  I had some goals for productivity and some goals for earnings but now I have a far better idea of how I need to prioritize my Zazzle store workload.

4.     How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible. 

I’m trying to increase the amount of time I spend creating as it’s not really 60% of my time.  Recently I’ve been caught up in trying to make Cover Photos and fussing around with the new collections regime and haven’t created many new products.  I suppose the actions I’ve taken have contributed to ‘store optimisation’!  I realise that not really having well-defined niches is causing me anxiety about working on my store, causing me to feel overwhelmed and not know where/how to concentrate my efforts. I feel that I have a bit of a mishmash of random products and lack a cohesive direction which makes it hard for me to focus and think of what to design next!

5.     Re Task 1 - were you able to create a Facebook page and would you like to share the link here for members to view and follow you? If so please do!    

I haven’t done so yet, but I’m thinking about it, longer term.   I’m not very active on Facebook, I’ve joined many groups in the past to gain ideas and inspiration for crafts (I used to do cardmaking, and some other crafts).  I’ve an idea for a FB Page as a result of reading the ‘Ideas for Niche Research’ word document. Point 3 (Local Pride Matters) suggests a FB page to celebrate the uniqueness of one’s local region to showcase landmarks etc and I am thinking about something along those lines.

I didn’t encounter any difficulties or roadblocks, working through the material, it only served to reinforce what I already felt about not being focused and strategic about niches and has provided me with a process to home in on specific niches and build content in them.

7.     Overall, how would you rate your satisfaction with Module 1 of the Zazzlepreneur program? Rate your satisfaction level on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the least satisfied and 5 being the most satisfied.

I would rate it as ‘5’ – I am very happy with the material and feel that it will help me a great deal.  The Ninja Niche Slayer document has already given me some insights into where I could more productively channel my efforts.

I don’t really have any suggestions / recommendations to improve module 1.  It has helped me a great deal.    

9.     How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche?

I am really looking forward to accessing this module.  I don’t think that I am focused enough in the niches which I am trying, the items are too ‘general’.  I feel that I have a ‘mishmash’ of items.  Many of my products won’t sell going forward as they were for a specific one-off event which has now passed.  What to focus on has been causing me anxiety for a while and I haven’t had much clue what to create and what to focus on. I am looking forward to Module 2 and learning more about niches.

I really enjoyed reading and working through all the material, it’s helped me a lot. Many thanks for your kindness in providing such great resources to help others.  I’ve already learned a great deal from Module 1 and look forward to improving my Zazzle store as a result.

Yes, I would recommend it.  It’s a way to focus on the foundations of a Zazzle business and use as a place to ‘build’ from.

What are the most valuable lessons or strategies you learned from the business plan worksheets and information provided in Module 1?

The Business Plan section was the most valuable for me. Once I chose my niche, I was able to easily complete the plan and realised the importance of having a business plan for my Zazzle business. For me, what first started as a roadblock, eventually opened up, once I chose my niche, and provided me with all the ideas and concepts I needed for my Zazzle store.

The “BONUS Pack of Niches” was the most valuable extra for me. As I am a beginner at Zazzle and had no niche, I found this very helpful in choosing my niche. After this, I was easily able to complete the Business Plan and the rest of the Module.

Do you feel that the module provided sufficient guidance on setting goals, managing time effectively, and staying motivated throughout your Zazzle journey?

Yes, the content was very well set out and valuable in providing the necessary guidance, goal setting and motivation in starting my Zazzle store. 

How have you applied the concepts and techniques taught in Module 1 to your Zazzle business? Please provide specific examples, if possible.

I was quite excited to undertake the Niche Research once I chose my niche. It was a real eye opener, with the various research tools available and the results I discovered. I got a lot of inspiration and ideas from this exercise which I can use for my own designs.

I’ve not yet created a a Facebook page. I’m working on my designs and want to buid up my products for my store before I dedicate time to creating a Facebook age. I’m still in two minds whether to create a Facebook or Instagram page, as it will be too much work to do both.

Did you encounter any difficulties or roadblocks while working on the business plan worksheets or implementing the strategies from Module 1? If so, please describe the challenges you faced and how you overcame them.

The only difficutly I encounterd was completing the Business Plan. As I’m a newbie and did’t have a niche, I struggled with completing this. It wasn’t until I decided on a niche that the business plan made more sense and I was able to answer all the questions.

I would rate the Module a 4.

I’m one who prefers learning by watching video, which I watch and rewatch while taking notes. I feel I take in more information than reading from a PDF and holds my attention better. While I understand your reluctance to do video, there is the option of creating faceless videos and perhaps showing a powerpoint presentation on your video while talking through the content.

How confident do you feel in your ability to tackle the challenges that await in Module 2 - All Things Niche?

I’m very confident now that I’ve picked a niche. I’m looking forward to learning more about niches and getting more ideas to assist me in possibly niching down on my niche.

Is there any other feedback, comments, or questions you would like to share regarding Module 1 or the Zazzlepreneur course in general?

Having struggled with the Business Plan without having a niche, I wonder if Module 2 on Niches would have been a better choice for Module 1, especially for someone like myself who is new to Zazzle and didn’t have a niche or store when first commencing the course. Although the later addition of the “BONUS Pack of Niches” to the course, was a great help in finally picking my niche.

I would highly recommend this module to other aspiring Zazzlepreneurs.

Yes, I would recommend Module 1 to others. Even though it was challenging for me (only the Business Plan section), I realise now all the content is relevant and beneficial when first starting your Zazzle store.

It was really good to think carefully about planning and prioritising tasks. All the information in the module was very specific and detailed. The market research task was helpful for seeing what is popular in some of my niches and thinking about what customers are looking for.

There's a good range of topics in the 'EXTRAS'. One of my favourites was about keywords and 'unicorn tags'. I'm updating the tags on my listings gradually, to reflect what I have learned. I've found the fonts worksheet very helpful, with great links to resources too.

Yes, there's a good amount of guidance, thank you.

I've been deleting some products, re-working others and have been using AI to find tags. I have also experimented with creating designs using text without images.

I don't use Facebook, so instead I created some extra boards on Pinterest. I also plan to learn how to create more detailed and effective Pins.

I found it took a while to go through some of the worksheets, and narrow down what I was focusing on, as I was having a lot of ideas at once. The Market Research page was good for overcoming this, as it was necessary to look in detail at one niche product idea at a time.
